SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent Email Impersonating WRBA

We want to make our partners and community members aware of a phishing/scam email currently circulating that is impersonating the Wood River Business Alliance.

The email claims to be from the President of the Wood River Business Alliance and asks the recipient for assistance purchasing gift cards for Angel Hospice Care.

This email is NOT from the Wood River Business Alliance or our Board President.

Please do not respond, purchase gift cards, click any links, or provide any personal or financial information. If you receive this message, please mark it as spam/phishing and delete it.

As a reminder, the Wood River Business Alliance, our staff, and our Board of Directors will never email you asking you to purchase gift cards on our behalf.

Unfortunately, scammers often use the names of local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to make fraudulent requests appear legitimate. Always double-check the sender's actual email address, especially if a message involves money, gift cards, passwords, or an urgent request.
