WOOD RIVER POLICE DEPARTMENT Crime Free • Litter Free Initiative
Wood River Police Chief Brad Wells is launching a community initiative aimed at enhancing safety and cleanliness throughout Wood River. We are dedicated to reducing crime rates and enhancing the environment in our city. We believe in a commitment to excellence through a clean environment.
LEADING BY EXAMPLE: Our department has adopted a section of Illinois Route 143, from the Pump House to Illinois 255, to keep it litter free and serve as a model for community pride.
HOW CAN YOU HELP
-Ensure proper disposal of waste
-Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of your property
-Report any suspicious activities
-Encourage local residents and businesses to participate
Clean neighborhoods play a crucial role in crime prevention, increased property values, and growing community pride.
PARTICIPATE IN THE INITIATIVE: This campaign is an effort towards making Wood River greater!
JOIN US THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 2025, as we partner with the Wood River Business Alliance for a citywide cleanup event. Meet at 8am in the police department parking lot.
